InvertaPuls IP6-2 – The Mercedes-Benz Approved MIG-MAG Welder for Professional Bodyshops

The Wielander & Schill InvertaPuls IP6-2 is a professional inverter MIG-MAG welding machine built specifically for car body repair. It carries full Mercedes-Benz (Daimler) approval, making it an essential piece of equipment for any workshop holding or seeking manufacturer authorisation. As a result, you can be confident that every weld meets the strict quality standards required by Mercedes-Benz.

Daimler Part Number: ACT-9041303433-MB

What Is ACT Technology?

ACT stands for Automotive Cold Transfer. This is a specialised welding process that significantly reduces heat input during welding. Consequently, it minimises distortion and burn-through on thin sheet metal panels, which is critical for modern vehicle body repairs. In addition, ACT technology produces cleaner welds with less spatter, so post-weld finishing time is reduced.

For bodyshop technicians, this means faster, higher-quality repairs with less rework. Furthermore, the lower heat input helps protect heat-sensitive coatings and adhesives on adjacent panels.

Dual Torch System – Two Wire Spools, One Machine

The IP6-2 features a dual torch system with two separate wire feed rolls and two G3 torches. Therefore, you can keep two different wire types loaded at all times:

  • Blue torch – for steel welding
  • Black torch – for aluminium welding and MIG-brazing

Switching between materials is quick and simple. There is no need to change wire spools or reconfigure the machine between jobs. As a result, workshop productivity improves because technicians spend less time on setup and more time welding.

User-Friendly Operation

Despite its advanced capabilities, the IP6-2 is remarkably easy to use. Simply select the material thickness and the machine automatically sets the correct welding parameters. This makes it accessible for all skill levels while still delivering OEM-specification results. In other words, even less experienced technicians can produce consistent, high-quality welds straight away.

Four Welding Processes in One Machine

  • Steel MIG welding – standard body panel repairs
  • MIG-brazing – for zinc-coated and galvanised panels
  • Aluminium MIG welding – with characteristics matched to OEM specifications
  • TIG welding – for precision work on thinner materials

Why Mercedes-Benz Approval Matters

If your workshop repairs Mercedes-Benz vehicles, using manufacturer-approved equipment is essential. It ensures your welds meet the structural and safety standards required by Mercedes-Benz. Moreover, it helps you pass manufacturer audits and maintain your authorised repairer status. Without approved equipment, your workshop risks losing its certification.

The InvertaPuls IP6-2 is one of the welding machines specifically listed on the Mercedes-Benz approved equipment list. Therefore, it gives you full compliance and peace of mind on every repair.
