Astra miniBENCH AB5300 – The Compact Straightening Bench for Space-Limited Bodyshops

The Astra miniBENCH (AB5300) is a compact lifting and pulling platform built for bodyshops that need professional straightening capability without sacrificing valuable floor space. At only 2.35 metres long, it fits comfortably into workshops where a full-size bench simply would not work.

Despite its compact footprint, this bench delivers serious performance. It offers 3,000 kg of lifting capacity through twin electro-hydraulic rams and an 8-tonne pulling tower with full 360° positioning around the bench. As a result, you get the pulling power and flexibility needed for medium structural repairs on a wide range of vehicles.

Many bodyshops struggle with limited workshop space. However, that should not mean compromising on repair quality. The miniBENCH solves this problem by packing full straightening bench functionality into a footprint of just 235 × 100 cm. Therefore, it is ideal for smaller independent bodyshops, mobile repair units, or as a second bench in a busy workshop.

Furthermore, the pulling tower rotates 360° around the bench and 180° on itself. This dual rotation allows you to focus the pulling direction precisely where it is needed, without repositioning the vehicle. Consequently, setup time is reduced and repair accuracy is improved on every job.

Lifting and Working Heights

The twin electro-hydraulic lifting rams raise the platform from a minimum height of just 100 mm up to a maximum working height of 1.28 metres. In other words, you can drive vehicles straight onto the bench at ground level and then raise them to a comfortable working height. This makes loading quick and easy while also reducing strain on technicians during longer repairs.

Who Is the miniBENCH For?

This bench is particularly well suited for workshops that handle medium structural repairs but lack the floor space for a full-size straightening system. For example, it works well for:

• Small independent bodyshops with limited bay space
• Workshops needing a second bench for overflow work

• Training centres requiring a compact demonstration bench

In-Ground Installation Option

The miniBENCH can also be installed as an in-ground version using the optional AB2115 cover. This allows the bench to sit flush with the workshop floor when lowered, creating a completely flat surface when not in use. As a result, you gain even more usable floor space in a tight workshop layout.
